The paperweight is created using glass powder colours which are indented in the glass form and then blown up, a bit like a normal balloon, but using compressed air. Since 1963 and now under the stewardship of Dartington crystal, the team of skilled Caithness glass designers and craftsmen continue to explore and push the boundaries of glass making whilst embracing modern developments in technology to produce high quality paperweights that are recognised the world over as the market leader.
