As there are no lead compounds - the traditional additive to Lead Crystal glass, Crystalite is a more environmentally friendly glass. The non lead glass melt process, which more recently includes Titanium, has been used for many years to manufacture the entire range of Flamenco. The addition of Titanium makes a tougher more resistant glass so the Flamenco range can be put in the dishwasher with greatly reduced risk of the mottling and grey fading that in time commonly damages other Crystal product.
