The monolithic design masterpiece consists of a sturdy frame surrounded by four removable extruded aluminum outer panels with a sandblasted surface in silver and a black acrylic top panel. The DB4ODD mounting kit comes with an alternative acrylic cover plate with an opening for discs.Alternative cover plate for 5.25-inch slim drivesBy removing the cover plate and all four side panels, the mounting of the Mini-ITX mainboard on a centrally mounted and also removable tray is very easy. Alternatively to a 3.5-inch HDD or two 2.5-inch SSDs / HDDs, this ODD drive cage can be mounted on the back of the tray to mount SlimLine optical slot-in drives . Other drives can be accommodated variably by means of universal brackets on the frame behind the motherboard tray, so that still plenty of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch disks can be installed. The drive cage can accommodate up to 12.7 millimeters ODD drives. Thanks to an included rubber eject button, any placement of the eject button is supported. A manual helps with assembly and ensures that all components get to the right place.
