Finally, with the latest Extension Stage 11 of the Straight Power Series, a power supply unit has been presented that is more than just a new revision with minor improvements in detail. Be Quiet! has again launched a product on the market that has been significantly enhanced in terms of efficiency, layout and connectivity - and that once again runs whisper-quiet. They represent the broad middle-class of Be Quiet\'s! range and are available in a range of performance levels as will as with and without cable management. This means there is the right model for almost any challenge. All of them use a common PSU casing that comes with an impressive anthracite look and unusual fan grids that make it very visually appealing. All performance versions of the Straight Power 11 are equipped with 135 mm fans from the Silent Wings 3 range, and these additionally come with an advanced frame design. De-coupling and lower fan speeds together move plenty of hair while ensuring the Straight Power 11 series functions at even lower noise levels than its predecessors. This model produces a maximum 12,3 dB(A) which for the average ear is virtually inaudible once installed. Performance Increases Thanks to Premium ComponentsWhen it comes to efficiency the Straight Power 11 series leaves no stone unturned and comes with 80 Plus Gold certification. These means the power supply is up to 93 percent effective (!) - something which not many manufacturers achieve, at least not in the mid-range segment. Stand-by power usage has been decreased once again and amounts to around 0,12 Watts. Not only are the Straight Power PSUs fantastic in performance terms, but also in terms of their impact on the environment. The great specs on offer with the Straight Power 11, along with many other positives, are thanks in no small part to the use of Japanese 105-degree Celsius electrolytic capacitors and solid capacitors. Additionally, new half-bridges with LLC resonance transducers are used. The fully modular cable management provides improved airflow for the power supply and, as a result, an increased lifespan. These improvements allowed Be Quiet! to increase performance by 50 Watts and even offer this version with a full 450 Watts. The 450 Watt represents a leading model in the series.
