The Sleeven of cables is now a great solution in the modding world. The cables of most power supply manufacturers are not really opaque and are often loosely sleeved around the actual cable. This is not for everyone. Many modders want a nice, sleek and tight sleeve, preferably in a self-chosen colour. To make sleeving easier, Alphacool now offers the Eistools Crimping Kit.The crimping tools are safe in a customized foam insert. And this again lies in a compact and lockable bag. So everything can always be cleared away to keep order in the workshop. It contains everything you need to sleev the cables.To get the cables easily out of the individual plugs, several pin removers are included. These are compatible with all Molex connectors, which can be found on a typical PC power supply. This includes 3 different female extractors and a male extractor for the PCIe, ATX terminals and the 4 or 8 pin EPS plug. Now the old sleeve can be easily removed from the cable. With the side cutter the cables can be easily shortened if desired. But otherwise a side cutter in many situations is an important tool that must never be missing.The next step is sleeving the cable. The Alphacool Eistools Crimping Kit comes with a special sleeving needle. The cable itself can be inserted at the back end of the needle. Thereafter, the Sleeving is simply pulled through the sleeve along with the cable. So the cable can not get caught on the sleeve or even damage it.If you have shortened the cables or you are completely self-assembling, you will have to assemble the cables into real connections at the end. Of course you need the corresponding Molex plug and pin sockets. To do this, you must first remove the insulation of the cables with the automatic wire stripper. Of course, you can determine the length and the contact pressure with which the stripping is to take place on the high-quality wire stripper. This is basically a breeze and can be done by anyone, even without previous knowledge.For the penultimate step you need the crimping pliers. This clamps the cables into the pin sockets and simply clamps them together with the crimping pliers. For a longer life, the set also includes replacement crimping jaws. To change the crimping jaws, you just have to remove the two pins on the head of the crimping pliers. Then you can simply insert the replacement crimping jaws and fix them with the pins again. The last step is the simplest. The cables with the now attached pin sockets only need to be plugged into the desired connection terminal.
