Outstanding quality Italian made Erable Burl board in blue. Finished in a very contemporary high gloss lacquer, the wood grain and knotting of the burl looks very special and has a rich depth of tone and wood patterning. The inlaid veneer squares are bordered with a thin veneer of Ebony that sections of the playing area from the edge. The underside of the board features a lacquered wooden veneer and has felting pads to protect surfaces underneath. The rich blue colouring and tone of this board is best suited to black pieces, either metal, ebonised Boxwood or solid Ebony with a king height of 3 inches.
