The board\'s base is also constructed from quality wooden veneers. Modern fabrication techniques are used making for a chess board with clean lines and meticulous attention to detail. The rosewood used is very rich in dark reds and browns with a subtle grain - perfect for matching with rosewood, red sandalwood or ebony chessmen with 3.75 inch (95 mm) king heights.
