At just seven and a half inches across, this is a small yet striking board with miniature pieces. It is all crafted from solid wood (no fibreboard or MDF has been used in any part of its production). Perfectly inlaid, each individual square has is a separate cut of wood. Beautifully carved in the classic Staunton style, each of the pieces is crafted from solid wood and boast not only an amazing amount of detail despite their diminutive size but this set also comes with additional queens Fitted with magnetic bases, the pieces stick well to the board which has concealed metal. This is a lovely little set and would make a great gift for any chess enthusiast.
