These chessmen have been expertly carved and polished by some of the world\'s most experienced and talented chess carvers. The white pieces are fashioned in boxwood, the mainstay of all fine chess pieces. In opposition are sixteen chessmen carved in fine rosewood. These have a deep red/brown colour and can be expected to darken naturally in future years and decades. These chessmen are double weighted and felted on their bases.The knights have small, neat ears and a toothy smile; their character is abundant while retaining a solid carving that can endure many games of chess. While these pieces do represent a highly sophisticated addition to your dresser or display cabinet they are also a pleasure to play chess with and will endure plenty of lengthy games.
