These solid rosewood chessmen are fine examples of superlative intricate wood carving. The design is modelled upon the lotus flower with influences from eastern cultures. The use of exotic rosewood combined with the equally extravagant carved construction makes these pieces distinctive and very memorable. Although they have a small king\'s base diameter of 1.2 inches (30 mm), their height requires a larger square size. We recommend chess boards with square sizes of 1.8 inches (45 mm) or above.
