Each piece in this large Winchester Series set is hand finished and polished using natural waxes which help release the beautiful tone and grain of graded sheesham wood. Following a classic Staunton design, particular care and attention has been given to the elegant lines of the king and detailed hand carving of the knight pieces. With a four inch (102 mm) king height, these pieces are substantial without being imposing. As these large pieces possess slightly narrower bases, they are perfect to accompany any a chess board from 21 inches (55 cm) upwards in size.
