A very traditional chess set combination of our elegant Windsor series chessmen in solid ebony and boxwood with our brand new Cocoa Burl extra thick Chess Board finished in gloss lacquer. The Windsor pieces are superbly proportioned and nicely weighted for their size. Hand turned and naturally polished, these pieces display some of the classic characteristics of the original Staunton design, but exhibit more contemporary lines and curves that bring them to life. The erable wood of the board is mesmerising to the eye, becoming almost three dimensional when tilted in the light. The rich glossy lacquer improves the richness of the burl patterning and also reflects the pieces well. In all, a classic chess set that oozes quality and value.
