The Lord of the Rings themed chess pieces are based on distinct characters from Peter Jackson\'s \'Fellowship of the Ring\' feature film. The white side, good, the black side, evil. White characters include Gandalf the Grey, Galadriel, Aragorn, Gimli, Frodo and Samwise. Black characters include Saruman, Ringwraiths, Lurtz and a variety of evil and rancid Orcs. The pieces are made from a unique crushed stone composite and are beautifully hand painted. The level of detail is astounding with each figure really capturing the character\'s spirit. The set includes the wonderful wenge and maple deluxe chess board by Rechapados Ferrer; deep squares of rich chocolate wenge, juxtaposed with extra light squares of light maple and beautifully finished in a rich satin lacquer. This chess set is must have for any Lord of The Rings enthusiast. The painstaking level of detail in this amazing LOTR chess set is testament to just how good the original SAC chess pieces were. Each piece resembles the film character brilliantly and has been painted to an extremely high standard. They also have a really lovely weight and solid feel to them.
