A very traditional chess set combination of our classic Staunton design Supreme Series Chessmen in solid rosewood and boxwood with our luxurious Deep Rosewood and Black Anegre Chess Board finished in a high gloss lacquer. The Supreme chess pieces are superbly proportioned and nicely weighted for their size. Hand turned and naturally polished rosewood, these pieces display some of the classic characteristics of the original Staunton design, but have some more contemporary lines and curves that bring them to life. The rosewood border of the 18 inch chess board echoes the tone and colour of the chessmen quite superbly and the rich glossy lacquer improves the richness of the wood grain. In all, a classic chess set that oozes quality and value. This chess set includes a beautiful burl wood veneer chess case divided into two black felt lined compartments.
