The game of Senet was discovered on Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs and it\'s thought that broken up Senet boards were found in the tombs of Ancient Egyptians. These date back as far as 3000 BC. The Egyptians gave slightly religious meanings to the game. The original versions of the game were made from stone rather than wood. The current versions of the game are based on snippets of the original rules found in Ancient Egypt but it\'s fair to say that there must be some differences between todays versions and the original Egyptian game play.
