He obtained His degree with first class honours from the dept of Theology at the University of Birmingham in 1991 and gained his Phd from Lancaster University in 1995, submitting a doctoral thesis on the religious teachings of the Mahabharata. Before all this He was the Original Headmaster at the first Gurukula primary school established in the UK.
