The image is painted in soft watercolour tones, in the signature watercolour style of Wrendale designer Hannah Dale . On the back of the notepad the now fully awake hedgehog is depicted from the rear, waddling away, only two paws visible beneath a spiky bal . Hannah is an ex-stockbroker turned farmer’s wife who, inspired by her rural married life, embraced her artistic roots and began painting the animals in the landscape around her.
