They are made in the classic ‘tankard-style’ shape inspired by the mugs made in the 19 th  century Staffordshire potteries. Oozing with country charm, each mug is decorated with gorgeous illustrations of farmyard hens. The hens in various colours are perched in rows and clucking to the dawn chorus, complete with a few eggs at their feet. The design is set against the cream earthen-ware background creating a striking look. The interior rim is adorned with phrases such as ‘Shine Bright’ and ‘New Day’ written  in the classic Black Toast font.
