Each of the eight cards features a group of various countryside animals crowded round a plump Christmas pudding, all wearing gold foiled Christmas hats. The animals include a fox, a badger, a hare, a rabbit, a squirrel, a pair of mice, a blue tit and a pair of snails. A robin can be seen flying in in one corner to join the festivities. Gold foil speckles litter the card, giving it a festive, luxury feel. With each brushstroke visible, the animals look soft and fluffy with tufts of their velvety, brown fur sticking out from their ears. The illustration is depicted in soft tones with every individual brush stroke visible and is surrounded with gentle speckling which feature throughout Wrendale’s designs.
