Inspired by the lines of the body, this cushion is part of our gorgeous new collection from London based duo Cary Briggs and Andrew Mason of Stoff Studios. Hand printed using reactive dyes onto a heavy textured, hand-dyed linen, the designs are developed from gestural mark making and mono printing techniques. They use traditional methods to create refined, intimate collections of textiles that bring soft blocks of colour and texture to a room – they are beautiful little abstract artworks in themselves! “This design was inspired by a wonderful life drawing teacher from the Royal College of Art. During these classes we would work on a grid, drawing a pose every 10-30 seconds. This intense way of working meant that each line had to be able to evoke as much as possible.
