After an earthquake in 1852, Don Facundo lost everything - including a son and daughter to a subsequent cholera outbreak. If that wasn\'t enough, his company went bankrupt soon after. Rather than give up, he took his work home where he focused on creating a smooth and elegant rum to replace the then crude, harsh cane spirits. The rest, as they say, is history.
