It is these very mountains that hold back rain from the region but provide water for the vines by snow melt and almost nothing else. The arid area is therefore excellent for growing vines and producing wines of the highest quality. Tasting Notes A classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir produces a very high quality sparkling wine indeed- not something you might have connected with Argentina before.
