The result is a liqueur full of intense Cognac flavours enhanced by macerated citrus flavours and just a hint of Earl Grey tea. The product itself is named after Louis Alexandre Marnier who first came up with the idea of combining Cognac to Orange Liqueur. ### Product Description The original distillery was built in 1827 on the outskirts of Paris, although the name Grand Marnier would not become used until a number of years later towards the end of the 19th Century.
