Its inspiration comes from ancient artefacts that have been excavated from deep underground, or from the seabed. Specifically, this necklace comes from the idea of a discarded or long-lost compass. It has a slightly distorted sense of its previous grandeur. This poignant piece of jewellery is constructed from a mix of recycled and new sterling silver, alongside a semi-precious Lapis Lazuli. About the Designer: Hannah Smith set up her own handmade jewellery brand after studying silversmithing at university. Nature is an endless source of inspiration for Hannah, and organic forms are often given a futuristic twist as they are incorporated into her designs in an abstract sense.
