Chic Heavyweight Vinyl
Self-titled debut album by Chic, originally released on Atlantic Records in 1977. The cover art featured two models, Valentine Monnier and Alva Chinn, uncredited in a photograph taken by Frank Laffitte. The Nile Rodgers/Bernard Edwards team turned out some of the most infectious and influential RB party grooves of their era. Standouts include the mellow jazzy flavour of Sao Paulo and the party anthem Everybody Dance.
