Mooli - Single
What is Mooli? Mooli is a form of white radish. In other countries, it is called a winter radish or daikon radish, and even just simply daikon. The term mooli originated in Korea and it is the Korean word for it, alongside its other terms such as mooli radish or radish mooli. Otherwise, with all its terminologies, they refer to the same root vegetable popular in East Asia. There are various mooli recipes available online and it is also found in a famous Korean dish, kimchi. Aside from this, it can be consumed raw or cooked. Furthermore, it has the health benefits that a single mooli recipe contains. Among its health benefits are aiding in fighting cough and cold, digestion, and boost immunity. A study from 2021 discovered that the root extract of radish contains various types of isothiocyanates which causes cell death in some, particular, cancer cell lines. How to cook Mooli? One of the ways you can cook mooli is through Fried Daikon Balls which is one of its recipes. Ingredients: 400g white radish (mooli) 2 eggs 100g flour Salt Pepper 1 tsp vegetable stock 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp ginger paste 1 tsp onion powder Procedure: Shred and drain the white radish. Shred with a grater. Season with salt and let the water drain out. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Make into ball shapes, the smaller the better. Fry in medium heat. Serve and enjoy.
