Edward studied art at Camberwell school of fine art and musical instrument making at West Dean college graduating in 2016. He is both a talented violin maker and viola da gamba maker and has combined his skills acquired at art school and through making exquisite copies of viola da gambas to create stunning violins. When not making violins Ed enjoys photography and climbing. The back in two pieces of maple of medium-broad curl ascending across the back from the centre joint, the ribs similar, the pegbox and scroll of faint curl. The front is in two pieces of spruce of medium grain. The varnish of a warm, lustrous amber-orange-brown colour on an amber ground.
