As participants join in from all over the world, the 2020 CAL will whisk you all away to Paris, France, as you crochet your way through the many galleries within the astounding Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Museum of Natural History). The inspiration behind this incredible design is Anthony Doerr’s best-selling novel “All the Light We Cannot See”. The Blanket d’Histoire Naturelle is available in four colourways in two different types of yarn, each inspired by the magical colours and textures to be found inside four departments of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris: Herbarium, Mineralogy, Conchology and Entomology. Colour Crafter Kits contain: 17 x 100g balls, 1 x pack of Toho Glass Beads, 1 x beading needle, Stitch markers, 1 x CAL souvenir bookmark, a letter from the designer, 1 x YARN The After Party booklet. The pattern for the Blanket d’Histoire Naturelle will be released as FREE downloadable pdfs throughout the CAL via the Official Scheepjes Facebook Groups and the Scheepjes Facebook page. Accompanying this pattern will be video tutorials for both left and righthanded crocheters, as well as detailed photo tutorials shared by the designer throughout.
