It\'s pretty much impossible to fit pistons in cylinder bores without a reliable ring compressor. This ratcheted piston ring compressor leaves both your hands free to insert your piston assembly into your engine block without struggling to also keep the rings compressed. It fits piston diameters from 53mm-175mm  and is much more dependable than that jubilee clip you were thinking of using. Easier to use and less risk of smashing your new rings on the top of the engine block.
