PROFAR Mission Cholesterol Devices Control Test Devices for testing cholesterol levels in whole blood, serum or plasma, for professional use and self-test, using fingertip blood. The Mission Cholesterol Test devices use a timed end point method to measure concentrations, in whole blood, in serum or plasma, of total cholesterol (CHOL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and triglycerides (TRIG). The concentration of low density lipoprotein (LDL) is calculated from the values of CHOL, TRIG and HDL. The system controls the change in absorbance at 635 nm over a fixed time interval.
