Athena Isanibio Phosphatidylcholine Food Supplement 100 Capsules
Athena Isanibio phosphatidylcholine Dietary supplement It contributes to energy metabolism, to the functioning of the nervous system, to the pigmentation of the skin and hair, to the absorption of iron; supports the immune system, the basic acid metabolism and carbohydrates. Protects from oxidative stress. Useful in the establishment of myelin sheath and bile. COMPOSITION Phosphatidylcholine 100% 450 mg BENEFITS AND CHARACTERISTICS Phosphatidylcholine , isolated in 1850 by Maurice Gobley from egg yolk, is a phospholipid consisting of fatty acids, glycerol and choline, a precursor of acetylcholine; it is abundantly present in nature; among the foods rich in phosphatidylcholine we remember soy lecithin, egg yolk and liver. Phosphatidylcholine consists of a phosphate group, 2 fatty acids and choline, precursor of acetylcholine. Having a hydrophilic head and two lipophilic tails has amphipathic properties (similar to both water and oil). In the human body, phosphatidylcholine is present as a fundamental component of the plasma membrane; its main role is to regulate the permeability and fluidity of this membrane. Lafosfatidilcolina is used in the food industry thanks to its emulsifying properties (emulsifying products make substances that are not normally mixed). Other uses of the phosphatidyl alcohol are those of the aural-scientific and anesthetic industry. In the form of a food supplement, phosphatidylcholine is recommended both for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and for hypertriglyceridemia; other indications are the improvement of the liver function and the treatment of psychophysical surmenage (this last point seems to sin of excessive optimism). The recommended dosages for this type of supplement vary from 400 to 800 mg daily. In the aesthetic field, the main use of phosphatidylcholine is the treatment of localized adiposity: for this purpose phosphatidylcholine is injected into the adipose tissue through very thin needles; this allows the solubilization of the lipids and the consequent reduction of the volume of the adipocytes. This method is generally used for the removal of those localized adiposities that resist dietary and ecomportal interventions. Phosphatidylcholine has shown a certain effectiveness in the protection of oxidative damage to cells and in the improvement of liver function. Phosphatidylcholine supplementation compensates for the decrease in serum choline and lecithin values caused by the use of nicotinic acid and nicotinamide-based drugs used to reduce the blood lipid profile. Phosphatidylcholine can be used as an alternative to choline by those who need to supplement it. In these cases, supplementation and dosage should be recommended by the doctor. Phospholipids are synthesized within cells (especially liver cells) and are essential to make the cellular tissue in the human body. The phospholipids are imported into the blood circulation processes, in the inflammatory event, in the environment of the edible tissue. Among the best known phospholipids are phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol, sphingomyelin and phosphatidylserine. HOW TO USE FOOD USE The nutritional role of phosphatidylcholine is very important, so much so that it is widely used in the food industry and ethicalsupply to help lower the cholesterol and foster the efficiency of the brain. MEDICAL USE The extraordinary virtues of phosphatidylcholine exploited in the medical field in the treatment of hyperlipidaemias and hepatic pathologies derive from its amphiphilic nature, which allows it to keep fat in solution in the blood and in other organic fluids. Who decides to resort to the supplement with phosphatidylcholine should not exceed the dose of 1 g per day. The dosages should however be established by the specialist. SPECIAL WARNINGS In some cases the administration of phosphatidylcholine can cause gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, vomiting, increased salivation and dizziness.
