Luminox Navy SEAL Quartz Green Dial Black Rubber Strap Men\'s Watch XS.3617.SET The Case: This iteration of the Luminox Navy Seal has been subtly updated, presenting itself with a sleeker, more stripped-down visual style that preserves the core functionality of the original model. The case is constructed out of Luminox’s very own Carbonox compound material, which “consists of carbon long bars or carbon powder in varying percentages depending on the model”. This gives this timepiece a very rigid and hard finish, taking the watch’s overall durability to a whole new level. Due to its perfect combination of strength and durability, Carbonox gives this watch the perfect stiffness and lightweight durability. It also bestows the watch with a sleek matte black finish. An all 60-minute unidirectional rotating black bezel sits on top of the case, it is complemented by white increments. It has been equipped with a stainless steel bezel to ensure maximum security. Luminox’s signature double security oversized knurled crown is present within the crown guards at 3 o’clock. On top of the dial there is scratch-resistant, coated and non-reflective sapphire crystal glass. On the flip side there is a stainless steel screw down case back. The Dial: The militaristic green dial consists of a horizontally stamped pattern design, it is complemented by a combination of stick indices and arabic hour markers, which allows for a concise, clutter-free looking dial. A 24-hour time display is also presented in the inner of the dial, it makes use of small black arabic numerals. The Luminox logo replaces the 12 o’clock marker. One of the most distinctive features of the dial is the magnified date window which is subtly incorporated into the dial at the 3 o’clock position. The handset has been treated to a tritium coating or Luminox Light Technology, which is a self-powered illumination system that utilises tiny micro gas light tubes to create ultimate visibility in complete darkness, under any conditions. This unique and advanced Swiss technology allows the watches to ensure at-a-glance visibility, meaning the watches provide a constant glow 24/7 for up to 25 years. The indices also contain LTT. The Strap: The green NATO style strap completes the watch’s militaristic aesthetics. It also comes equipped with a free black rubber strap, which can be easily interchanged. It fastens using a standard buckle. The Functions: Powered by Swiss made Ronda 515 caliber movement. This provides the watch with a 45 month battery life. It also offers a hacking feature, meaning that the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out to time setting position. This can also be used as a battery saving mechanism, as when pulled out it will reduce battery consumption by 70 . It has a water resistance of 200 metres making it suitable for diving.
