Seiko Presage Limited Edition Automatic Green Dial Silver Steel Men\'s Watch SPB129J1 In 1964 Seiko launches its first chronograph watch, nicknamed the \'Crown Chronograph\'. The design of the 1964 model featured an alluring dial which is why the Seiko Presage Watch SPB129J1 has been made. The SPB129J1 is limited to 1,964 pieces and features the serial number on the back. The Case: Firstly, the case of the SPB129J1 has been increased in diameter compared to the 1964 watch, and now measure 41.3mm. The design itself remains identical, with angular lugs evoking the old model and a succession of brushed and polished surfaces – including a nice angled bevel on the side of the lugs. This black bezel was the most notable feature of the 1964 original with a 60 minute scale. A classical screw-down crown at 3 o’clock allows the time and date to be adjusted while domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating further protects the dial. The Bracelet: A three link oyster style stainless steel bracelet is the perfect host for this timepiece. Furthermore, a three fold clasp with push button release fastens securely according to your needs. The Dial: The affiliation with the 1964 watch is obvious. The SPB129J1 features the same double-faceted applied markers and delta-shaped hands as the original. The two-tone layout of the dial, with a contrasting chapter ring under the applied markers also takes inspiration from the original. Finally, graduations are identical, with a seconds track on the periphery, then minute gradations and small rectangular luminous markers on the inside of the dial. A date is positioned at 3 o’clock. The Functions: The classical screw down crown provides a water resistance of 100 metres, suitable for swimming and snorkelling. The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre 6R35, Seiko’s mid-range movement. The 6R35 is known as an updated version of the well-known 6R15. The base remains the same, with a 3Hz frequency, a central rotor for the automatic winding, a quick-set date, and a stop-seconds device. Perhaps the most astonishing feature of the watch is its 70 hour power reserve, allowing you to take it off for three days.
