Seiko Prospex Save The Ocean \'King Turtle\' Automatic Blue Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Men\'s Watch SRPE39K1 The Case: The Seiko Prospex Save The Ocean \'Turtle\' SRPE39K1 case measures 45mm in diameter and is made from solid stainless steel. The watch\'s nickname derives from its cushion style diver\'s case and its similarity to the shell of a turtle. An oversized screw down crown is present besides the 4 o’clock mark, it is protected by a crown guard, which bolsters the functionality of this watch. What differentiates the \'King Turtle\' from the normal \'Turtle\' is the addition of a ceramic bezel. The benefit of having a ceramic bezel is that they provide greater durability and scratch resistance than a stainless steel bezel, this is why it is a material more commonly associated with luxury watches. The bezel is presented in black and it displays a 60-minute scale. The luminescent pip situated at the 12 o’clock mark makes it easier for the 60-minute scale to be read underwater. The Dial: The dial of this special edition timepiece represents the view of the ocean as seen by the 5m deep vision of the Manta Ray endangered species. Its colours echo the gradations of sunlight refraction and the patterns symbolise waves seen from under the sea. As a tool watch legibility and reliability are perhaps the most important requirements of this watch. The simplistic layout of the dial ensures legibility and avoids the risk of any complications. For example it features large easy to read silver indices and hands that stand out against the background of the deep blue dial. Replacing the 3 o’clock index is a minimalistic day and date window which allows you to keep up to date all month. Around the very edge of the dial is a chapter ring that displays a 60 minute track. The Bracelet: The silver bracelet of the watch is made from highly durable stainless steel, that has been finished using a brushing technique. It comes in the style of an oyster bracelet, which is associated with the Rolex brand. It fastens using a three fold clasp with a secure lock, to ensure that it remains safely upon the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: Seiko’s exclusive 4R36 automatic movement powers this timepiece. It is a self-winding calibre with manual-winding capacity and a hacking-seconds features. This movement has an incredible 41 hour power reserve which means you can take it off your wrist for the weekend whilst you relax. It consists of 23 jewels and it beats at 21,600vph. This watch has a water resistance of 200 metres, making it suitable for diving.
