Seiko Prospex Monster Automatic Black Dial Silver Stainless Steel Bracelet Men\'s Watch SRPE27K1 The Case: This Seiko Prospex Monster SRPE27K1 at 42mm in diameter this stainless steel case is affectionally nicknamed the ‘Monster’ due to the bezel said to resemble the open mouth of a monster baring its teeth. It comes in a metallic blue colour scheme, with bold white 60-minute markers forming a track around the edge. The indented ‘teeth’ like bezel allows for easy rotation of the unidirectional bezel. A screw-down crown is present besides the 4 o’clock mark, this allows the watch to sit more comfortably on the wrist as well as providing resistance against water. Similarly, a screw down case back serves the same water resistant purposes. Hardlex glass sits on top of the case to protect the dial. The Dial: The black dial is decorated with bold luminous hour markers that allow for easy readability, while the 3 o’clock marker has been replaced with a cyclops day date window which makes reading it easier as it is magnified by 2.5 times. The differentiating style, size and dimensions of the handset also allows for greater readability, as does the red trimming around the minute and seconds hand, as it stands out against the black dial. A white 60-minute track runs around the outer edge of the dial, which allows for more accurate reading of the time. The Seiko Prospex logo is present neatly beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Bracelet: The silver bracelet bracelet is made form highly durable stainless steel that has been finished using a brushed technique. It comes in a classic 3-link style, which allows the bracelet to sit comfortably on the wrist. It also features a three-fold clasp with secure lock and push button release with extender. The Functions: Seiko’s exclusive 4R36 automatic movement powers this timepiece. It is a self-winding calibre with manual-winding capacity and a hacking-seconds features. This movement has an incredible 41 hour power reserve which means you can take it off your wrist for the weekend whilst you relax. It consists of 23 jewels and it beats at 21,600vph. This watch has a water resistance of 200 metres, making it suitable for diving.
