Seiko 5 Sports Street Fighter Zangief Red Dial Red Nylon Strap Automatic SRPF24K1 Mens Watch  The Case: The opulent case of this Seiko 5 Sports Street Fighter Zangief SRPF24K1 is crafted from stainless steel and comes adorned in gold. It consists of a golden uni directional rotating bezel, which is easily rotated through the addition of the tall knurled sides. Silver hour markers form a track around the bezel. A crown is present at 4 o’clock, it is protected by a crown guard. On the back of the case there is an inscribing of the controller command for Zangief’s signature move, ‘Screw Pile Diver’. Also present on the case back is the Street Fighter logo and the serial number of the model. The Dial: The design of the dial reflects Zangief’s muscular body. The red circular pressed pattern is reminiscent of his special move the ‘Cyclone Lariat’. Enlarged Arabic numerals are present at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, they have a golden trim which allows them to standout. A day date window replaces the 3 o’clock marker, it is enhanced by a cyclops lens. A golden hand set occupies the centre of the dial, while the the Seiko 5 logo sits beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Strap: The nylon strap imitates the start the red and yellow Zangief strap that he wears on his wrist. It makes for an eye-catching design, which draws directly from the characters aesthetics. It fastens easily using a standard buckle. The Functions: The Seiko 5 Sports range boast Seiko’s new upgraded 4R36 automatic. It is the same movement that is found in more expensive Seiko models, such as the ‘Turtle’ that belongs to the Prospex range. The movement consists of 24 jewels and it operates at 21,600 beats per hour. This ensures the watch has 40 hours of power reserve. It includes Seiko Diashock, which essentially protects the inner mechanisms from any damage the watch may sustain if it were to be dropped or knocked. It is expected to either gain or loose between +45 / -35 seconds per day. Finally, this watch has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
