Seiko Prospex \'Samurai\' Automatic Blue Dial Stainless Steel Men\'s Watch SRPF01K1 The Case: The Seiko Prospex \'Samurai\' SRPF01K1 measures 44mm in diameter and it is made from solid stainless steel. The watch\'s \'Samurai\' nickname derives from the case\'s sharp, clean-cut, tapered edges that look as if they have been sliced off by a \'Katana\' sword. The powerful steel case has been brushed, which provides the watch with a lustre that also helps to ensure the longevity of the timepiece.  A uni-directional steel rotating bezel sits on top of the case, it is presented in a subtle bi-colour of blue and grey. A 60-minute scale is present on the bezel, which allows the wearer to keep track of time spent under water. The side of the bezel has been deeply etched with a \'Clous De Paris\' pattern which ensures optimum grip, whilst also bestowing the watch with a contemporary feel. A luminescent pip is situated at the 12 o’clock mark makes it easier for the 60-minute scale to be read underwater. On the back of case a  stainless steel screw down case back has been engraved. On the front sapphire crystal glass has been applied for its scratch resistant qualities, as it is second only to diamond in its hardness. The Dial: The blue dial features a distinctive textured \'hobnail\' style design. The simplistic layout of the dial ensures optimum legibility and avoids the risk of any complications. The dial consists of bold hour markers and an equally bold handset that have both been filled with a luminescent material, allowing the wearer to read the time in the dark. A pointed seconds hand also ensures that the time is always accurately displayed.  Additional useful features present on the dial include a date window that replaces the 3 o\'clock marker and 60-minute scale chapter ring.  The Seiko logo is presented in white beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Bracelet: The bracelet is made from stainless steel and comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster bracelet was was first introduced by Rolex in 1948 and it since been closely associated with dive watches, due to their unadultered utilitarian character. The bracelet fastens using a three fold clasp with a secure lock, to ensure it remains upon the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: Seiko’s exclusive 4R35 automatic movement powers this timepiece. It is a self-winding calibre with manual-winding capacity and that has a hacking feature. The 4R35 movement has a 41 hour power reserve and it consists of 23 jewels and it beats at 21,600vph.
