Junghans FORM A Titan Automatic Black Dial Brown Leather Strap Men\'s Watch 027/2002.00 The Case: Even with a slightly larger diameter of 40mm, the FORM A Titan is immediately the most striking model in the collection. The casing is made from skin-friendly titanium which is up to four times lighter and stronger than stainless steel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal glass, which offers improved scratch resistance compared to that of standard acrylic glass. The movement is protected with tinted mineral crystal glass, to also provide a small peek into the many pieces that drive the timepiece. Having the case-back attached with screws allows for a much tighter seal than a snap-on case-back. Additionally, with a case thickness of 10.7mm, this makes for a sleek piece for your wrist. The Dial: A black dial is complemented by silver hands and indexes with environmentally-friendly luminous substance. The luminous substance allows makes the indexes and hands glow in the dark for easy visibility at all times. Around the very edge of the dial are second markers in a golden Arabic style for each five second increment separated by small black squares to represent each second. Positioned at the 12 o’clock position is the ever present Junghans logo with a date window adjacent to the 3 o’clock mark. The Strap: With its sporty character the timepiece also has a touch of class with a brown Buffalo leather strap. Using a skin-friendly titanium buckle, the strap can be easily fastened according to your comfort. The Functions: With a water resistance of 100 metres, this model is suitable for swimming and snorkelling. To power the hands and date window, a self-winding movement calibre J800.2 sits behind the dial and is visible through the case back. A power reserve of 38 hours allows the watch to be rested for a day and a half. This watch is a hardy companion even in the toughest of activities.
