The angular definitions of this stainless steel case are the defining characteristics of the sharp edge series. The sleek tall integrated lugs provide the watch with its cutting edge appeal. A fixed circular bezel sits on top of the dial, whilst a knurled crown is positioned besides the 3 o’clock marker. The entire case has been treated to a super hard coating, to ensure optimum longevity. Sapphire crystal glass offers further protection, as it is second only to diamond in terms of hardness. The glass has been treated to an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, to ensure that legibility is never jeopardised. Sapphire crystals have also been used on the exhibition case back. The Dial: The earthy green dial features a pattern that is inspired by a traditional Japanese artistic design of a plant grown in Japan for over 10,000 years – hemp. This ancient pattern has been seen in Japanese artisan objects since the Heian period (794-1185). The subtle patterning underscores the elegant minimalistic design that defines this timepiece. It is complemented by slender baton-style hour marker and a silver sword-style handset that has been filled with Seiko’s LumiBrite material, which offers night-time readability. A date window is positioned neatly next to the 3 o’clock marker. The Bracelet: The silver bracelet bracelet is made from highly durable stainless steel that has been finished using a brushed technique. It comes in a classic 3-link style, which allows the bracelet to sit comfortably on the wrist. It also features a three-fold clasp with secure lock and push button release with extender. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by 6R35 calibre automatic movement, it consist of 24 jewels and offers an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day. The mechanisms can be hand wound, as well as being powered through kinetic energy. It has a water resistance rating of 100 metres.
