Luminox Scott Cassell Deep Dive Quartz Blue Dial Rubber Strap Men’s Watch XS.1523 The Case: Constructed out of Luminox’s very own Carbonox compound material, which “consists of carbon long bars or carbon powder in varying percentages depending on the model”. This gives this timepiece a very rigid and hard finish, taking the watch’s overall durability to a whole new level. Due to its perfect combination of strength and durability, Carbonox gives this watch the perfect stiffness and lightweight durability. It also bestows the watch with a sleek matte blue finish. An all 60-minute unidirectional rotating black bezel sits on top of the case, it is complemented by white increments. It has been equipped with a stainless steel bezel to ensure maximum security. Luminox’s signature double security oversized knurled crown is present within the crown guards at 3 o’clock. On top of the dial there is scratch-resistant, coated and non-reflective sapphire crystal glass. On the flip side there is a stainless steel screw down case back. The Dial: A refined design scheme is consistent throughout the dial, as a 12/24 hour dial format is neatly presented to allow for easy reading. White circular hour markers run around the edge of the dial, while arabic numerals form a track around the centre, forming an inner dial and the 24-hour time display. A date window is subtly incorporated on the dial, as it replaces the 3 o’clock marker. A white handset is comprised of an arrow-style minute hand and a small hour hand. Both of which have been coated in tritium, which allows the visibility in areas of low light. Similarly, the indices that run around the outer edge of the dial have also been filled with Luminox Light Technology (LLT) elements, which when in areas of low light will illuminate in orange and green. The Strap: The strap is crafted from genuine rubber, which is a perfect choice of material for adventure watches due to its durable, waterproof and easily maintainable qualities. It fastens using a stainless steel pin buckle with Luminox logo engraving. The Functions: Powered by Swiss made Ronda 515 caliber movement. This provides the watch with a 45 month battery life. It also offers a hacking feature, meaning that the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out to time setting position. This can also be used as a battery saving mechanism, as when pulled out it will reduce battery consumption by 70 . It has a water resistance of 300 metres making it suitable for saturation diving.
