Ingersoll New England Automatic Blue Dial Leather Strap Men\'s Watch I00902 The Case: A standout piece from the Ingersoll the New England watch range, the Ingersoll New England I00902 is the perfect watch for a stylish gentleman. The ion-plated stainless steel case is presented a lavish rose gold hue, the case has been highly polished in order to provide it with its striking gleam. At a diameter of 44mm and a depth of 15mm this watch has an undeniable presence on the wrist. An elegant rose gold plated crown is present besides the 3 o’clock marker at the edge of the case, while two push buttons are located besides the 8 and 10 o’clock markers. Mineral glass sits on top of the case, which is highly resistant against scratches. On the back of the case is a large exhibition window which offers a peek into all the intricate workings of the watch. The Dial: The distinctive blue dial features two different patterns which adds diversity yet more class to the piece. Around the outside of the dial where the rose gold Arabic indexes and baton-style indexes are located is a spiral contrail pattern where as towards the centre of the dial is a Guilloche lighting design. Positioned just below the 12 o’clock index is the classic Ingersoll logo which ensures authenticity as well as a cuckoo style date window. The first sub-dial seen at 3 o’clock is used to display the day of the week whereas the sub-dial at nine displays the month. Protruding at the 6 o’clock position is a balance wheel. A balance wheel, or balance, is the timekeeping device used in mechanical watches and some clocks, analogous to the pendulum in a pendulum clock. It is driven by the escapement, which transforms the rotating motion of the watch gear train into impulses delivered to the balance wheel. A rose gold sword-style hand set is also present at the centre of the dial, it has been filled with a luminous material to allow for nighttime readability. The Strap: The unique blue vintage looking strap is made from genuine leather to ensure a classy yet robust look. At a width of 21mm the strap is almost half the size of the case, making for a sleek transition to the case. Stitching seen on either side of the strap yet further backs the vintage look of the timepiece. A push button clasp can then be easily fastened around ones wrist. The Functions: The timepiece is powered by an automatic movement which as mentioned, can be partially seen in the exhibition window and balance wheel.
