Although it still retains the instantly recognisable G-Shock style it has been modernised through the addition of a resin core overlaid with a silver ion-plated metal exterior plate. The dimensions of the case have been made slimmer and wider, measuring at 16.9mm in depth and 48.8mm in width. The patented hollow core guard structure of the case provides superlative protection against impact and vibration. The case has been finished with an ion-plating, which offers the advantage of additional scratch resistance. Further protection for the watch is provided through scratch-resistant mineral glass. The Dial: The sleek design of the case is complemented by the digi/ani design of the dial. A digital display is present within the centre of the dial, this displays the time, date and day of the week. The display can be easily illuminated through the use of the elector-luminescent display, it can activated through the buttons at the side of the case. The Strap: The strap is made from resin, a material that is celebrated for its durability and water resistant, which makes it the perfect strap for any outdoor activities. It fastens using a standard buckle. The Functions: This quartz powered G-Shock boasts a whole range of functions such as: a daily alarm, a countdown timer and a stopwatch function with the ability to measure times within an accuracy of 1/100th a second.
