Casio Edifice Quartz Black Dial Silver Stainless Steel Bracelet Men\'s Watch EQB-1100D-1AER The Case: The case of this Casio Edifice EQB-1100D-1AER is crafted from solid stainless steel, which imparts a classic and robust feel on to the watch. It has been treated to a brushed finish, which improves the functionality of the timepiece as it makes it less susceptible to scratches. The case has an undeniable presence, from the straight narrow lugs to the octagonal bezel. It measures in at 45mm in diameter. On the side of the case a crown guard protects the crown, while the two push buttons to control the chronographs dials are postponed either side at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. Sapphire crystal glass sits on top of the case, providing the watch with optimal durability and scratch resistance, as it is only second to diamond in terms of its hardness. On the flip side, there is a solid stainless steel case back. The Dial: The black dial features a rough marble like design it is complemented by blue and silver accents throughout. Bold silver hour markers have been raised to bestow the dial with a sense of depth. Three sub-dials are neatly featured at the 12, 6 and 9 o’clock mark. The dial at 12 o’clock has a metallic blue trim which brings the dial to life. A date window is positioned besides the 4 o’clock marker, while the Casio Edifice logo is positioned just above besides the 3 o’clock marker. A simplistic pointed hand set takes centre stage to improve the readability of the dial. The dial has also been treated to a Neo-display to allow for readability in areas of low light. The Bracelet: The silver stainless steel bracelet is tough , durable and elegant and imparts a classic feel on to the watch. It is also equipped with a safety catch, to prevent the bracelet from accidentally opening. The Functions: This model offers a wide range of modern functions. It is solar powered, meaning that it generates its energy from the sun. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, meaning the time and date will be accurate as the watch adjusts time-based on time on your phone. A new Schedule Timer feature links with your phone’s calendar app to display appointment start times and end times on the watch display, and alert you to appointments with a watch alarm. You can input and manage your schedule with your phone’s calendar app, and have watch alerts set up. You can use the watch to make adjustments to your schedule. At the touch of a button, the watch switches to offline mode. Meaning that you can disable the wireless or GPS for the duration of the flight. The daily alarm reminds you about recurring events with an acoustic signal at the time you have set. This watch has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
