Relinquishing display of the small seconds creates a particularly striking symmetry. The Case: The silver dial is housed inside a silver stainless steel case.  The crown, of which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position is used to adjust the time and date window. Guarding the crown are two buttons either side which are used to access the watches chronograph function. All in all, the case measures at a diameter of 40mm which complements the sleek height of just 14.4mm. Sat inline with the case is plexiglass which allows for both a clear view and a resistance to any potential knocks and bumps. The Strap: The beautiful black strap complements the silver dial and case well, making for a stylish addition to your wrist. The strap can be easily fastened using a standard buckle according to your size and taste. The Dial: The matte silver dial has a simplistic yet classic look to it. Around the edge of the dial are standard line markers that mark out the seconds. Sat at the 12 and 6 o’clock position are two sub-dials which make up the watches chronograph function with the easy to read date window at 3 o’clock. Additionally, the ever present Junghans logo can be seen at the 9 o’clock position. The hands and indexes have an environmentally friendly luminous coating, allowing for easy visbility at night. The Functions: The silver steel hour and minute hands are powered by an automatic movement, which is powered by the natural notion of the wrist. The module in particular used is J880.2 which is known for its long life of 48 hours and reliability. The watch has a water resistance of 30 metres, making it suitable for light splashes. As mentioned, the chronograph function which is seen on the dial is used to measure time separately. This is great for those sporty people amongst us as you are able to measure a run in the park to a quick sprint. Also, a stop second hand function allows the watch to be stopped to the second, resulting in ultimate timing.As an additional option the glass can be retrofitted with sapphire crystal which is known for its resilient and clear properties.
