The One Piece stories are based on a pirate theme with good overcoming evil, the main character pursuing the ‘one piece’ for him to become the Pirate King. The fun, colourful and eye-catching animations are the inspiration behind this watch collaboration, with each watch representing one of the five key characters in the series. This specific watch takes its design cues from the character Vinsmoke Sanji, also known as \"Black Leg,\" the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is the fifth member of the crew, a prince who disowned his family twice, in his youth and as an adult, he became a sous chef until he met Luffy, who convinced him to join his crew. Each limited edition piece comes with its own special box. Seiko 5 Sports is known for over fifty years of reliability, durability, performance and value. ‘’5’’ represents the original five key features of every Seiko 5 still present today: Automatic movement, Day-date display, Water Resistance, Recessed crown and Durable case and bracelet. The Case: The Seiko 5 Sports One Piece ‘Vinsmoke Sanji’ SRPH69K1 case measures 42.5mm in diameter and is made from polished black PVD solid stainless steel. The shape of the watch’s case is similar to that of a ‘Turtle’, whose nickname derives from its cushion style case and its shell-like-profile. An oversized black screw down crown is present beside the 4 o’clock mark, it is protected by a crown guard, which bolsters the functionality of this watch. A unidirectional bezel exhibits a countdown timer and knurled edges that ensure that the bezel can be operated easily. Hardlex crystal glass has been used to protect the dial from scratches and damage sustained from knocks. The case also features a see-through case-back with a limited edition One Piece print, as well as the serial number engraved into the case. The Dial: The dial is presented in grey with white accents. The grey dial is decorated with a green pattern that  incorporates footprints evoking Sanji, whose motto is \"A cook\'s hands are his life,\" and his powerful kicks.The layout of the dial remains fairly simplistic, as it exhibits a signature Seiko arrow handset and applied round dive indices; both of which have been filled with Seiko’s lumibrite material which enables the dial to be read in the dark. Also present on the dial is a day-date display window at 3 o’clock and a yellow 60-minute scale that is presented on the red chapter ring. The Seiko 5 Sports logo is rendered in white beneath the 12 o’clock marker. The Strap: The watch comes with a grey silicone strap which features the same footprint pattern as the dial. The strap fastens through the use of a standard buckle. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by Seiko’s 4R36 calibre movement, this supplies the watch with a battery life of approximately 41 hours. This automatic movement also has an accuracy of +45 / -35 seconds per day, it offers the ability of hand winding too. It is water resistant up to 200 metres, meaning that it can be worn when diving.
