Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Automatic Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Men’s Watch SRQ037J1 The Seiko Speedtimer SRQ037J1 pays homage to the 1964 Seiko Stopwatch that was released in conjunction with the 1936 Tokyo Olympics, of which Seiko was the official timer. It is limited to just 1000 pieces worldwide.  The Case: The watch features a circular case that measures 42.5mm in diameter and is crafted out of brushed stainless steel. It exhibits a crown at 3 o’clock and two push-buttons that are located either side of it at 2 and 4 o’clock. The push-buttons enable the wearer to operate the two sub-dials. The case also displays a fixed bezel and short angular lugs. Domed sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with optimum protection against scratches and shattering. The crystal has been treated to an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, which ensures that the dial remains always readable. The caseback is screwed down and it features an exhibition window and the limited edition serial number engraved into it.  The Dial: The dial is presented in black and it pays homage to the design of the 1964 Seiko Stopwatch. The hour markers are stylised using silver baton-style hour markers, interspersed by a 60-second track. A black tachymeter scale is located on the chapter ring of the dial, which can also be used to measure times and distances. In the centre of the dial there are two sub-dials which display a 60-second and a 30-second timer.  A silver dauphine style handset has been filled with a luminous material, which ensures that the dial can be read in the dark. A date-display window is located above the 6 o’clock mark.  The Bracelet: The watch comes featured on a classic 3-link oyster style bracelet that is crafted out of stainless steel that has been treated to a brushed finish. The bracelet fastens through the use of a three-fold clasp with push button release. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by Seiko 8R46 caliber automatic movement which offers an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day.
