Casio G-Shock Octagon Series ‘CasiOak’ Quartz Black Dial White Resin Strap Mens Watch GA-2100-7AER The Case: The Casio G-Shock Octagon Series ‘CasiOak’ GA-2100-7AER features Casio’s slimmest ever case measuring just 11.8mm in depth. The case is made from resin and it is presented in a white hue. The case measures 45.4mm in width and it takes its ‘CasiOak’ nickname from its octagonal shape, which bears a resemblance to the Audemars Piguet ‘Royal Oak’.  The case exhibits a fixed bezel which displays the ‘G-Shock’ logo and the watch’s numerous other functions. At the side of the case there are four push buttons which are located beside the corresponding functions. Protection is provided for by the watch’s hard scratch resistant glass. This timepiece also features Casio’s new carbon core guard structure, which ensures superior shock resistance by leveraging the properties of carbon fiber (shock resistance, rigidity, and resistance to degradation), which is also used for aircraft parts. The Dial: The matte black dial exhibits an uncomplicated digi-analog display, which ensures the watch remains both easily readable and aesthetically pleasing. Raised baton style hour markers are located around the edge of the dial, whilst a 60-minute scale is located in between the hour markers on the chapter ring. A day-display is located beside the 9 o’clock marker, whilst the digital display window is positioned between the 3 and 6 o’clock markers. A pencil style handset extends out from the centre of the dial, it has been filled with a luminescent material to ensure that the dial remains readable in the dark.  The Strap: The white strap is made from resin and it has a perforated design, which permits greater comfort on the wrist as it allows it to breathe. The strap fastens with a standard buckle. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by Japanese made quartz mechanism, which provides this watch with optimum levels of reliability and an accuracy of +/- 15 seconds per month.
