Junghans Max Bill Edition Set 60 White Dial Beige Leather Strap 3 Unit Set 027/4109.00 The Junghans Max Bill Edition Set 60 collection consists of three watches that celebrate 60 years since the release of the first line of mechanical watches designed by Max Bills. This year Junghans are celebrating this anniversary with the release of an exclusive collector’s trio of watches: Limited to just 1,060 units worldwide, the aptly named max bill Edition Set 60 comprises three very different timepieces. Although each watch comes in its own box, they are collectively presented in a commemorative special edition box. Inside of the box there is a portrait of Max Bill.  The Case: All three watches feature a polished stainless steel case that is presented with a dark anthracite PVD coating. The cases each measure just 38mm in diameter and each have a refined design which consists of a fixed bezel, short lugs and a crown that is located at 3 o’clock on the side of each case. This understated style of design is atypical of Max Bill’s own Bauhaus-informed take on industrial design. Each case is completed by the anti-reflective sapphire crystal which ensures that the watch remains always readable and protected against scratches and shattering. On the back of each case there is a solid case back, with Max Bill’s signature engraved into it.  The Dial: Each dial is presented in white and exhibits an uncomplicated layout which ensures optimum legibility. Each dial features black elongated hour markers, with the 12 o’clock marker being presented in orange. The hour markers are interspersed by shorter grey minute markers and marked by green luminescent pips at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. Junghans signature luminescent twin pips at 12 o’clock which are integrated into the number 60 which denotes the 60th anniversary of Bill’s famous design. Each dial features anthracite pencil-style hour and minute hands have sharp tips, and are filled with orange lume. Although the watch’s share these commonalities they do differ slightly for example: The Junghans Max Bill Automatic 27/4108.02 is the most simplistic of the three models with its only complication being a date-display window at 3 o’clock. The Junghans Max Bill MEGA Kleine Sekunde 58/4100.02 features a date-display window at 3 o’clock and a 60-seconds counter that is presented at 6 o’clock on the dial.  The Junghans Max Bill Regulator 27/3190.02 features a 12-hour sub-dial which is located at 12 o’clock and an additional sub-dial located at 6 o’clock is used to present the 60-second display.  The Strap: Each watch comes equipped with a calf leather strap in a warm beige grey, blends harmoniously with the high-contrast presentation and pairs the colouring in a perfectly balanced display. It fastens securely around the wrist through a stainless steel buckle that has the Junghans logo engraved into it.  The Functions: The Max Bill Edition Set 60 offers a range of functions across its three models. First, it is important to state that each item possesses a different variety of movement, all expertly crafted by this heritage horological brand. The 27/4108.02 uses a self-winding movement J800.1 with a power reserve of up to 38 hours whilst the 58/4100.02 is even more modern. This item uses a multi-frequency radio-controlled movement J101.66 to offer highly accurate timekeeping. Finally, the 27/3190.02 uses a self-winding movement J800.5 with a power reserve of 42 hours. The 27/4108.02 has a day function whilst the 58/4100.02 features a sub-dial with an exact time display in half-second moves to go with a date display with perpetual calendar. On the 27/3190.02, a decentralised hour and second display feature in addition to a separate minute display for a unique offering. Each item has water resistance up to 3 bar, showing this special collection of Junghans Max Bill watches to be a highly practical range that honours the tradition and heritage of this brand in the most effective manner.
