On the side of the case there is a screw down crown that is protected by a crown guard. The lugs on the case have been bevelled and polished, this bestows the watch with its aerodynamic appearance. Sapphire crystal glass has been applied, which provides the watch with superlative protection from scratches and shattering.  The Dial: The watch’s dial is presented in black and its uncluttered layout allows for optimum readability. The dial exhibits a bold 60-minute scale around its outer edge and a 12-hour scale that forms the inner circle of the dial. The watch’s hour hand has been hollowed out at the tip to allow the wearer to still view the 12-hour scale. Both the hour and minute hand have been partly filled with a luminous material which permits readability in the dark. A day-date display window replaces the 3 o’clock marker within the inner dial, whilst the Hamilton logo is positioned neatly within the inner dial too.
