Seiko Prospex \'140th Anniversary\' Limited Edition Automatic White Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Mens Watch SPB213J1 Limited to just 6,000 pieces worldwide, The Seiko Prospex 140th Anniversary Limited Edition SPB213J1 celebrates this iconic anniversary. This timepiece is a modern take on Seiko’s and Japan\'s first classic diver’s watch from 1965. The Case: The stainless steel case measures 40.5mm in diameter and 13.2mm in height, imitating the design of its predecessor the 62MAS; however it has grown since the original measures just 37.5mm in diameter. There is a variety of finishes present on the case, from vertical brushing, satin brushing and polishing which underscore the quality of the craftsmanship behind this timepiece. The stainless steel case has been coated in a super-hard coating to ensure its surfaces are highly scratch-resistant throughout. A blue uni-directional bezel displays a 60-minute scale in white around it, whilst a luminescent pip is situated at the top of the bezel. A screw down crown can be seen at the 3 o\'clock position on the side of the case, whilst the case is topped with sapphire crystal glass which offer superlative resistance from scratches and shattering. The solid stainless steel case back has been engraved with Seiko\'s wave logo. The Dial: This sleek modern iteration comes stylised in a cool off-white tone that is adorned with simplistic baton-style hour markers. The hour markers have been filled with LumiBrite material, as well as the silver baton style handset - this allows the wearer to view the time in the dark. The seconds hand comes presented in blue, complementing the blue tones of the bezel. The outer minute track is also printed in blue, which bestows the watch with a greater element of tonal consistency. The 3 o\'clock marker has been replaced by a simplistic date window. The Seiko logo is printed on to the dial beneath the 12 o\'clock marker. The Bracelet: The bracelet is made from stainless steel and it comes fashioned in a classic three-link oyster style. The simplistic design of the oyster bracelet was was first introduced by Rolex in 1948 and it since been closely associated with sports watches, due to their utilitarian character that ensures that the bracelet remains secured to the wrist during sporting activities. The three fold clasp, with secure lock, also helps to ensure that the the watch remains securely fastened to the wearer’s wrist. The Functions: Seiko’s 6R35 calibre movement powers this timepiece and it offers an astounding 70 hour power reserve and an accuracy of of +25 to -15 seconds per day. The movement consists of 24 jewels and it offers both hand winding features and a hacking feature. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters and has a seventy-hour power reserve, adding to its sporting credentials.
